This fall is in Hampton, TN. I hiked out there with Shirokarasu last weekend. The camera couldn't capture the intense contrast between light and dark, so I processed the same raw file three times and blended the results. I think it came out fairly natural looking.
Not my favorite photo really but it's a pretty place to visit. :)

I loved the solitude of this tree in the middle of a sandy floodplain. I found my eyes resting on this image for quite some time, not so much pondering as listening to where it echoed inside me. I realized my breathing had eased and I felt whole, solid and still.
